My favorite part of traveling is tasting my way through a new city. For me, food is a window into culture. When I visit a new city, I’m always searching for that locals-only pub or that typical restaurant that’s been serving the same specialty for fifty years. I travel for tastes and I’ve found that the best bites are rarely ever those recommended on Trip Advisor. After much trial and error, here are the food gems I’ve found along my travels. Whether it’s my favorite spots in Madrid or my discoveries throughout other amazing European cities, I hope they can bring you the same tastebud-dancing joy!
I’ve never been one to sit still. In Spanish they call it “inquietud.” In English, it’s “restlessness.” So far my restlessness has propelled me to the sun of Seville, the politics of Washington, the rural antiquity of Galicia and the foodie heaven of Madrid. Here my restless fork has met its match. I hope you’ll come explore with me!
